The company is constantly searching for new business opportunities derived from the strategic directions of current markets.
Agriculture and Metal Commodities (commodities):
Did you know: In the last 10 years the commodities market made a 10
times better rate of return comparing to the stock exchange markets!!!
We believe that in light of the shortage in supply of agriculture
commodities, in the next 5-8 years the demand for these commodities
will constantly continue to rise, and will exceed the supply. Emerging
markets such as China, India and Brazil, will continue to grow and to
become more dominant in the future markets. Thus, more income is to be
generated in these markets, expanding and inflating the power purchase
of the local populations. These markets alone will increase the demand
for agriculture
commodities) before taking into consideration natural growth of the
worlds population). Adding the global warming outcomes, natural
disasters (i.e earthquakes, tsunami, derange and floods), which will
hit the supply, the demand for commodities will continue to rise hitting new records.
In light of the aforementioned, Hapeon is investing Agriculture
commodities and exploring business opportunities in real investments
in this line of business )i.e. gold mining and exploration).
Communications
Did you know: There are over 5.5 billion mobile subscribers over the
world!!!
We believe that in light of the outstanding growth of developing and
emerging markets, the consumption of communication services will
continue to grow in the next decade.
In 2008 The number of mobile phone users in Africa exceeded 250
million in the first quarter As a result, the continent has surpassed
North America in terms of mobile subscriber numbers, with the U.S. and
Canada together having 277 million users, and cemented its status as
the world’s fastest growing mobile market.
However, while the population in Africa exceeds 1 billion (6.9
worldwide), the total number of mobile subscribers is only 330
Millions (2010) and demonstrates approximately 41.4%– (the lowest in
the world). In other developing countries it reaches 67%, and in
developed countries it exceeds 116%.
We believe that the potential of the communication markets in
developing markets is high and the consumption will continue to grow.
According to our view the mobile stats presented above are indicating
and demonstrating the potential of the future communication market in
other area as well (i.e. infrastructure, wi-max, data etc.).
Hapeon is providing project management and feasibility studies of
potential business opportunities related to communication in
developing markets.
Alternative Energy
Did you know: The world is consuming 85 million barrels of oil every
day of the year!!!
We believe that the growing shortage of crude oil, on one side, and
the climbing demand for energy, on the other hand, the price of a
barrel of oil will exceed hence allow alternative energies in the form
of bio-fuels to become a more dominant factor in the fuels markets.
We believe that the most promising source of oil for bio diesel is Castor.
The Castor bean contains 50% to 55% oil. Facts drawn by scientists
actually show that castor oil has one of the highest CN when it comes
to all the vegetable oils, and also when you throw in all of the other
bio fuels they actually have numbers that are lower than the amount
for castor oil. Petro diesel is around 45, and yet for most other bio
fuels, the figure falls in the range 45 to 65.
However when thinking about biodiesel production, cost plays an
important role and castor bean oil is one of the lowest priced oils,
which makes it quite effective to use. It has proven itself as one of
the most beneficial of all oils to use. Another consideration is the
alternative usage of castor. As castor is not used for eating (opposed
to corn and wheat used for bio-ethanol and soy beans for bio-diesel),
the increase of the price of the castor oil does not affect low social economic population.
This market is undoubtedly will dominant the future bio-fuels!!!
